This wolf was photographed at the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. All viewing of the wolves is through smoked glass which only allows one way viewing. It also makes photography very difficult. Luckily the day we visited was a low tourist day and I was able to spend the time required to figure out a way to get a good image through the viewing area. Human contact with the wolves is minimized and every attempt is made to insure the wolves remain wild without losing their fear of man. It is an excellent place to learn about wolves and to see them in an environment much different from zoos and other captive type environments.
