Three Sandhill Cranes
Whenever possible I love to photograph large gatherings of Sandhill Cranes. I created this picture and made something I like out of a slightly out of focus picture of hundreds of cranes at Whitewater Draw. I cropped a very small portion of a large photograph of many birds and concentrated on just three. I removed the background and attempted to create a new background. Initially the purpose was to create an image that I could use as a basis for a painting. I am still working on the painting but I like this and think it stands on its own.
